I don't know how long the recording goes on one CF card. I can't imagine it be more than 24 mins or so. This seems to be the one everyone has been waiting for. I think the cost will likely be too prohibitive for most people, including myself (I haven't checked yet), but I've been looking at the SX1 which is a bridge camera that has a 20X zoom built-in. Quality will not approach any of the xD series from Canon, but it'll definitely be a step-up from my A550. Plus, it has 1080p30 as a feature as well. With all these new technologies available, it's gonna be much easier for a regular layman to follow some tutorials and make an amazing movie (if they work hard enough), bu this means that those in the industry have to be ground-breakingly awesome in order to stay ahead. Even now with my little knowledge, I'm not as impressed with basic techniques in films that I already know from my online resources and tutorials. Can't wait when I get into my industry (whichever it may be) to try and shatter some standards inshaAllah! I’ve been thinking about this same thing.
